On
the plains outside a besieged Troy the Doctor is hailed as Zeus and taken
by Achilles to his camp. But a fellow warrior, Odysseus, is skeptical
as to his authenticity and gives him two days to devise a plan to capture
Troy. Meanwhile, the TARDIS is seized by Paris and Vicki is hailed as
a prophetess and given the name Cressida. She and Steven are thrown into
jail and Vicki is given two days to prove her supernatural powers. At
the Greek camp the Doctor decides his attack on Troy will be with a huge
wooden horse. They wheel it into the city and the Greeks emerge from inside
the horse, open the gates and take the city. Steven clashes swords with
a Trojan warrior and is injured. Vicki, who has fallen in love with Troilus,
is torn between taking him to safety and joining the Trojans. She finally
asks Katarina to take the nearly unconscious Steven back to the TARDIS,
while she remains with Troilus.
